Bringing Louisiana Home: The Story Behind Our Shop

If there’s one thing I’ve learned through Seitz Travel, it’s that people don’t just want to experience Louisiana while they’re here—they want to take a piece of it home with them.
That realization is what sparked the idea for our Louisiana-themed shop.
It started simply enough. After one of our tours, a traveler asked me, “Do you sell anything that captures what we felt today? ” I remember smiling, because I knew exactly what she meant. Our tours aren’t just about history; they’re about the heartbeat of Louisiana—its culture, its flavors, its music, and its soul. And I wanted to give people a way to carry that heartbeat with them.
So I started small, with a few T-shirts and tote bags featuring Cajun sayings and Louisiana-inspired designs. Before long, the shop grew into something bigger: mugs for that morning café au lait, bags perfect for farmers’ market strolls, and gifts that celebrate our state’s unique blend of cultures.
Each item tells a story. When someone slips on one of our shirts, they’re not just wearing fabric—they’re wearing a reminder of gumbo pots bubbling on a Sunday, or fiddles echoing through a dance hall, or family gathered around a table where stories flow as easily as laughter.
For me, the shop is an extension of the tours. It’s another way to honor heritage, to share joy, and to help others feel connected to Louisiana long after their trip ends.
So whether you’ve traveled with us before, or you simply want to celebrate your Louisiana roots, I invite you to visit our shop. Take home something that speaks to your story—and let a little piece of Louisiana travel with you wherever you go
